MD & CEO, Aequs Aerospace
Rajeev Kaul is the MD & CEO, Aequs Aerospace, responsible for the overall performance of the Aerospace vertical, driving business growth and expansion globally. He has been with Aequs since its inception and was instrumental in setting up the country's first aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
With 25 years of rich industry experience, Rajeev has played a significant role in advancing Aequs' presence in India while setting up various subsidiaries and establishing Joint Ventures. For Rajeev, bringing new capabilities to the global manufacturing ecosystem while transforming Belagavi into an aerospace knowledge centre for India, is a vital mission in helping India realize it's global potential.
Rajeev serves as a board member of Aequs Group as well as its JV companies. Prior to joining Aequs, Rajeev was with QuEST Global providing support and guidance to operational leadership on financial matters. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Delhi University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
President, Corporate Strategy & Ventures
Walt Sirmans is Group Executive Vice President – Strategic Initiatives, responsible for all aerospace holdings including core machining business units as well as joint venture partnerships of Aequs. He joined Aequs in June 2011 as SVP of Global Sales and Strategy with added leadership responsibilities for both Engineering and Account Management along the way.
Walt brings 29 years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing and the aviation services market segments. Since 2002, he has held executive leadership positions with Sabreliner Corporation, GKN Aerospace North America and Lockheed Martin’s Global Sustainment business prior to joining Aequs. Walt began his career with United Technologies’ Pratt & Whitney, where he held a number of leadership positions within its Military Engines unit, serving most recently as Program Manager for the F135 propulsion system for the F-35. In 2001, his JSF propulsion team was among those honoured with the prestigious Collier Trophy.
Walt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His professional education includes the Executive Integral Leadership program at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business and the Emerging Leaders Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Global Sales & Commercials
Mohamed Bouzidi is the President - Global Sales & Commercials at Aequs Aerospace. He is responsible for growing the current business, driving new business campaigns, and expanding into other geographies. He will also play a pivotal role in managing the Strategic contract relationships.
Mohamed has a distinguished career spanning three decades in aerospace manufacturing and strategic customer accounts. In his 20 years with Aubert & Duval, he held several key executive positions with broad responsibilities across the highly diverse supply chain geographies. Mohamed also brings an in-depth understanding of diverse cultures and the dynamics in these markets. Prior to joining Aubert & Duval, he was associated with SAFRAN for 10 years.
Mohamed holds a PhD in Metallurgy from the Paris School of Mines. He also holds an Executive MBA (EMBA) from EDHEC Business School and graduated from the University of Paris.
Managing Director Aerospace, France
Emmanuel joined Aequs Aerospace as Managing Director for France operations and is responsible for driving the tactical as well as strategic initiatives of Aequs Aerospace.
Among others, he has a targeted focus towards optimizing operations across all the units and enhancing capabilities in France.Emmanuel joins Aequs from LISI Aerospace, where he worked as Managing Director responsible for managing customer relations in Asia, Europe & USA, spearheading ramp-up initiatives and leading the growth strategies for the organization. Prior to LISI Aerospace, he was associated with different multinational firms like GESTAMP, UTAS Aeronautics & Space, SNWM, SNOP, GIAT Industries, Defense and MANHURIN Defense in various capacities. Emmanuel has 24 years of experience, which includes international exposure, in different industries – aeronautics & space, automotive and defense.
Emmanuel holds a PhD in Industrial Sciences from LASQUO-ISTIA University and an Executive MBA from ESSEC & Manheim Business School.
General Manager - Operations,
Amit is responsible for driving operations at Aequs Aero Machine, US, and has been with the company for over four years. He has been instrumental in ensuring business growth, optimizing processes, and enhancing capabilities, at Aequs, US.
Starting his professional career with Aequs as a Continuous Improvement Engineer in 2016, Amit Melligeri held various responsibilities and positions in AAM before becoming the General Manager-Operations in 2020. Along the way, he quickly learned the finer nuances of business operations and market development.
Amit has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysore, India, and a Masters’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, the USA.
He is Six Sigma Green Belt certified from the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and Lean Concepts & Applications from LAI Lean Academy.
Sourabh Mittal is the CFO and Legal Head, Aequs Aerospace, responsible for overall financial reporting, compliance, and strategy. He has been with Aequs for over five years, leading treasury, accounting, tax, and internal audit functions in support of the company’s aggressive growth roadmap.
Sourabh is a Chartered Accountant with a diverse functional background. Throughout his career of more than 10 years in accounting, auditing and financial planning, Sourabh has been instrumental in aligning financial and business practices for high growth organizations
Mohan D S
Program Management & Engineering
He is responsible for Program Management & Engineering and has been with the company for the past 12 years.
Mohan comes with an experience of over 26 years with an expertise in fields across- manufacturing, design, operations, manufacturing engineering, and project management. He was responsible for the package industrialization.
Prior to this, he was associated with QuEST Global Engineering and Kirloskar Electric Company, rotating machines division. He is a certified lead assessor for ISO 9001 quality standards by M/s P.E. Batalas, UK.
Mohan D S holds a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka University, India.
Head, India Operations
Shirish is responsible for Aerospace operations and has been with the company for past 12 years. He has experience of over 27 years, with a thorough understanding of Production, Planning, Sheet Metal Fabrication and Green-Field project management.
During his earlier stint with QuEST Global Engineering and Kirloskar AAF limited in Surface Coating division, he served in Projects, Production & Erection and commissioning of Surface Treatment plants for Automotive customers.
Shirish Ganamukhi is a graduate in Engineering from Karnataka University and Certified in Six Sigma Green Belt
Assistant Vice President
Commercial & Contracts
Suhas is responsible for the commercial strategy and contract management and has been with the organization for the past nine years. He has been instrumental in negotiating and executing complex commercial contracts with customers and suppliers. With exceptional knowledge and extensive experience of over 26 years, Suhas adroitly leads the complex commercial function.
Prior to Aequs, he worked with Demag Cranes & Components (I) Pvt Ltd. and Thermax Limited.
Suhas holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Shivaji University in Kolhapur and a Diploma in Business Management from Pune University.
Head of Surface Treatments
Shankaranarayanan is the head of Aequs’ Surface Treatment facilities. With over three decades of experience in chemical processing, he also holds expertise in Greenfield projects, P/L Accountability, Business & Strategic Planning, Production Management, New Plant Set-ups, Project Management, Quality Assurance and Resource Management.
Prior to this, he has worked in various capacities in the Amalgamation group, TVS (presently FAIVELY), BOSCH, Federal-Mogul Goetze, Sterling Tools. He also headed the contract manufacturing unit of Schneider Electric, Bangalore.
Shankaranarayanan holds Bachelor’s degree in Science with distinction from Bharathidasan University and a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from Annamalai University. As part of his professional education, he has completed the 'Accelerated Leadership Program' certified by Oscar Murphy India and the 'Stepping into Leadership Program,' certified by the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
He has been awarded and certified by Smart Levers India as a Champion on 'Theory of Constraints' for successfully undergoing training & implementation in his assignments.
Head of Forging
Arunkumar is responsible for the Aequs' Forging operations and has been with the organization for over eight years. He has been instrumental in streamlining the forging and heat treatment operations at Aequs and has played a vital role in installing all major forging equipment, which includes India's largest, 10,000 tons Hydraulic forging press for Aerospace. He has over 30 years of industrial experience in Operations, Engineering, and QMS.
Arunkumar's prior experience includes companies like Bharat Forge, Jinabakul Forge (Greenfield project), and Tata Marcopolo.
Arunkumar has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a PG Diploma in Business Management from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune. He is a qualified Lead auditor, and Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
Head of Assemblies
Radhakrishna is responsible for Aequs' Aerospace Assembly Operations and has played a notable role in streamlining assembly operations and strengthening Aequs' position as a robust player in producing aerostructures assemblies in India. In his earlier stint with Aequs Aerospace, he led the Operational Excellence function and was responsible for Plant Operations for six years as well. He has over 20 years of extensive experience in manufacturing operations.
Prior to this, he worked with SSPC- Wahaj, Aequs Aerospace, Ankit Fasteners Private Limited, and Maini Precision Products.
Radhakrishna holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) from the Board of Technical Education, Karnataka. He is also trained on Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP. He is currently pursuing a Work Integrated Learning Program (WILP) with BITS Pilani.
He has also won the Core Values Award in 2013 by Aequs Aerospace and the Operational Excellence Leader Award in 2017 (in the engineering sector) by UBS Transformance, Mumbai.
Global People Function
Abraham Joseph is Vice President Human Resources (Global People Function) and is responsible for Talent Acquisition, Performance Management System, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefit, and Talent Management. He has 20 years of experience in the areas of Human Resources, Sales & Marketing.
Abraham’s last assignment was with Flex, where he worked for 9 years and was responsible for all Human Resources and Branding initiatives for India Business Entities and HR functions for the Global Business Services centers located in India, China, Mexico and Europe. Prior to Flex, he worked with Tata AIG, Sify, Murugappa Group in the areas of Human Resources. His Sales & Marketing stints were with companies like Premier Auto Electric and Berger Paints India Limited.
Abraham holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources & Personnel Management from XLRI, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Apeejay School of Marketing.
P Madan Mohan
Industrial Relations & CSR
P Madan Mohan is Vice President – Industrial Relations & CSR. His responsibilities encompass Industrial Relations, Compliances, Administration and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives for the company.
Madan Mohan brings more than 25 years of HR experience in leadership roles with organizations including BEML, UB Group, INDAL- IHEL, Lucas –TVS of the TVS Group and Biological E. Ltd. In his most recent role as Vice President of HR with the Aditya Birla Group – Grasim Industries, Madan Mohan provided strategic and operational HR support for the Group’s pulp and fibre business. Madan Mohan’s HR experience base includes HR strategy, HR systems and practices, organizational development & organizational behaviour, learning & development, implementing high performance cultures, industrial relations, corporate social responsibility and EHS. Highlights of his HR career include the successful development and signing of more than twelve long term wage agreements with various affiliated unions across India.
Madan Mohan holds a Master’s degree in personnel management & industrial relations from the TATA Institute of Social Science (TISS). He also holds a Master’s degree in economic history from the Central University of Hyderabad.
