One Name, One Brand, One Aequs

2014 witnessed the beginning of a remarkable year for Aequs. The management of the erstwhile QuEST Global Manufacturing strategically rebranded the company and Aequs became a separate entity.

This rebranding was the steppingstone towards Aequs’ development and milestones in the future.  This new umbrella brand was set to operate, grow, and flourish all the manufacturing businesses units under it. 

Sharing his vision ‘To be a preferred partner in every market we serve’ and commenting on the re-branding, our Chairman & CEO, Aravind Melligeri, said, “Establishing the Aequs brand as a strong foundation enables us to achieve sustainable growth across the aerospace and industrial sectors”. 

With the embarkment of this new growth phase, Aequs aimed to deliver value to customers, employees, partners, investors, as well as the communities in which the company operates in. The integrated assortment of capabilities and distinctly stated strategies has helped us attain success while overcoming risks and challenges.

    • Aerospace: From expertise in project management to supply chain to precision manufacturing, Aequs has a wealth of experience. Aequs is country's first notified precision engineering and manufacturing SEZ with a vertically integrated ecosystem. It includes co-located capabilities that deliver an end-to-end manufacturing value stream. 

      With global engineering and manufacturing capabilities, the company hasestablished three successful, multinational joint ventures to further extend ecosystem capabilities in the last decade. Through these JVs, the SEZ today has world class capabilities in forging, surface treatment, and delivering complex sub-assemblies.  Aequs is the first aerospace company in India to have inaugurated two Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) machining for hard and soft lines to deliver improved productivity, quality, flexibility at reduced lead time and manufacturing costs.
       

    • Consumer: Leveraging the company’s manufacturing synergy, Aequs ventured into the Consumer division in 2016. The vertical witnessed encouraging growth that in turn  led us to set up India’s largest toy manufacturing cluster spread across 400-acres in Koppal, Karnataka, and is expected to commence operations by 2020. Keeping up with the tradition of ‘many firsts’, this toy manufacturing ecosystem will be India’s first toy cluster to cater to all the infrastructure requirements of the toy – plastic and electronic – industry.  in Karnataka. The cluster will house capabilities like design, molding, die-casting, and painting, PCBA, printing/packaging and poised to create 100,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2025.
  • Unified customer engagement:  We have continuously engaged with our customers by practicing the utmost levels of transparency and integrity. As a united brand, we have been able to demonstrate its commitment to customers in a holistic manner.

  • Optimized support structure: It is a constant endeavor at Aequs to augment and centralize processes across functions from HR, Marketing, Administration, Supply Chain to IT to ensure consistent, qualitative, and cost-effective support throughout the enterprise. This integrated network not only optimizes efficiency but helps the us maintain our competitive edge.
