Leading the way in preventive safety and containment of COVID-19
Safety First at Aequs SEZ
Late last year, the world witnessed the emergence of a novel coronavirus in Wuhan, China. Dubbed 2019-nCoV, the virus went on to spread rapidly across the city of Wuhan and was declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern by the WHO within the span of a few short weeks.
It has been declared a global pandemic, with far-reaching implications across countries, economies, and industries. Across the world, countries have taken strict and urgent measures to limit the spread of the disease. In the absence of a vaccine or proven remedy, world leaders have advocated for people to avoid large gatherings, stay indoors, and follow social distancing protocols to minimise the transmission of the coronavirus.
India’s Proactive Approach to the Outbreak
For nearly a month now India has been under a national lockdown to safeguard its billion-plus population. While the lockdown has been extended to May 3, aerospace and defence companies along with essential goods manufacturers have been granted permission to resume operations. This gradual return to normalcy calls for increased vigilance and preparedness. It is necessary to continue maintaining caution, and to comply with all recommended measures to contribute against the spread of the disease and support the efforts of healthcare workers.
